But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. Not so shall it be among you: but whosoever would become great among you shall be your minister; and whosoever would be first among you shall be your servant… Matthew 20:25-28
Calvary Fellowship School:
Calvary Fellowship School was established in 1988 as a ministry of Calvary Fellowship Church when a small group of parents requested a legal covering to homeschool their children. For 25 years, the school, with the full support of the church, has provided legal covering, record-keeping, a mothers’ support group, and educational and social opportunities for children in K-12. Mothers and children meet four and a half hours on three Fridays per month, September to May, in order for children to participate in a wide variety of activities including physical education, art, music, science, history, cultural studies, unit studies, choir, and field trips.
CFS has ministered to dozens of homeschooling families since its beginning. Graduates have gone on to complete bachelors, masters, and doctorate degrees in a variety of fields. CFS graduates continue to make their mark in the professional world as well as developing their creativity in the arts and establishing their own homes.
CFS limits the number of families registered each year in order to promote a sense of family and camaraderie within the group, as students and mothers develop close, supportive relationships that often last for years.
God birthed CFS and has maintained its vitality over the years. Its primary purpose is to glorify Him. Secondly, its purpose is to support homeschooling families in their journey of instilling godly virtues in their children and providing them with a quality education so they can better walk out God’s purposes and destiny for them.
